Are you Stuck When you Want to Make Money Online?

If you are feeling stuck, maybe you relate to the following story of making money online.

Pamela started getting ready to make money online. She went to seminars that taught how to make money online and learned what she needed to know. She began to follow the steps outlined.

As Pamela followed the steps outlined momentum began to build and it seemed like there was an avalanche of steps to follow! Every time she followed one step, another appeared. Wouldn’t she ever make money online while she relaxed at the beach – as hoped?? She began to wonder.

Not only that, her family was having trouble adjusting to the fact that she wasn’t home – since there she was, right there! It seems humorous now as I right this.

Pamela had an ingenious moment one day when she finally got to a point of putting up an easel with a big poster board sign that said, “No one is here!” and put it behind her desk chair. It also may have helped her to make money faster online if her office hadn’t been right next to the front door, but that’s where it was at the time!

Pamela did get off to a slow start since she was very distracted with all the possibilities and choices of things to do with her family. If she did something with her family she was guilty because she needed to be getting her online business up and running. If she worked on her business she was guilty because she should be with her family – which was the reason she wanted to work from home in the first place… She was stuck.

Sound familiar?

Finally, in her studies and explorations, Pamela happened upon a technique to get her mind set so she could stay focused to make money online without the guilt. The exercise was so simple she was able to complete it in a short time after reading how her mind was causing her lack of focus and that feeling of being “stuck.”

This “stuck” feeling is the mental version of a similar phenomenon that happens to athletes when they are running or cycling at great speed and then their bodies “hit the wall” as they call it. They can’t move their bodies at all when this happens or they can barely move and all momentum is lost at that moment.

The same thing seems to occur when entrepreneurs are determined to create the systems that allow them to make money online. There are so many little miniscule steps to be done that sometimes after staying on top of it all for a while, the mind just refuses to allow more to be done.

If you aren’t sure what I mean, it’s when you have an opportunity to create a new product that you know would make a difference for people. You’ve done the research and now it’s time to create the smooth flowing system so you can easily deliver the product to people online.

You sit down to your computer to get the process done and you are simply stuck. You just sit there. Your mind is saying. “I don’t want to make another sales page. I don’t want to create the thank you page. I don’t want to do the technical work of setting up the process.” This is when you hire someone else to do a lot of the work for you, if you’ve been able to make money online enough to afford it by this time.

The same exercise Pamela followed to get focused and moving fast forward can work for you. Get on track. You can make money online.

It really is “easy to do” once you know and once you get the mental mindset.

I have no idea what i want to do when i get older!?
Im 17 right now, already working on university credits thru online studies at Athabasca U. and i still have no idea what i want to be!!

When i was about 3 my aunt gave me a doctor kit and i played with it quite a lot. So everyone said "oh look whos going to be the next doctor in the family" and when i was little i didnt know anything so i said, yeah ill be a doctor.

Ever since then it was either, hes going to make it to the NHL and make millions of dollars and if not he can always fall back on a doctor, they make good money too! I never really had a say or was asked what i wanted to be.

about a month or 2 ago, i said i didnt want to be a doctor (having given up playing high end hockey, this was now going to be my job) because i dont really find it an apealing job, yes i like the pay, but i dont want to be stuck doing somthing i dont want to do. also the amount of schooling is insane!

But my mom said, well what do you want to be?
This kinda stumped me because….. i dont know… :S ive always had to be a doctor!

So how do i figure out what i want to do with the rest of my life? I dont even know who i am or what i like really…

Anyone have the same issues, how did you find yourself and what you want to be?

join the club mate. im exactly the same, im 17 and i dont have the slightest clue what i would like to do either.

i really wish i knew what i wanted to do so then i could focus on working towards achieving that career, instead of looking for dead end jobs for the sake of it, which is what im doing right now until hopefully with a bit of luck one day i might know what i would like to do.

seems like all my mates know what they wont to do, theyre going of to uni to study etc and i feel left behind in a way.

my parents tell me to just get out there and get any job that pays pretty much, but then im thinking whats next after that? do i really want to work at a checkout the rest of my life? would be interesting to see if anyone has any suggestions, im in the same boat right now. good luck anyway mate

Go on yahoo jobs and pick a category and look for jobs that interest you.

Think about what you like to do the most, and make sure its something you can be happy doing when you -have- to do it.

I didn’t really have this problem because I’ve been thinking about what to do ‘when I grow up’ since 5th grade.

I hope you find what you want to do.

Don’t feel pressured into making a hasty decision, even if you’re getting college credit now, you can pause your education at any time.

Also, ask yourself: Where do I want to work (home, office, outside, in a lab, etc)? What am I good at already? What do I like to do? What kind of lifestyle do I want to lead after college (and will my college choice’s income pay for it?)

These questions will help you pick jobs by other goals. If you don’t want to work in an office, and want to work outside, consider what kind of places you like to go and what kind of jobs would let you do it.

    Hope my response helped!

You’re 17, you have plenty of time to decide what feels right for you. Just relax and enjoy life, you’ll know when you’ve found the perfect fit for you, career-wise.

I would suggest that you take the Stong’s or Strong’s (I’m not exactly sure which it is) Skills and Interests inventory. Our 2 children had no idea what they wanted to be either, and this helped them to narrow it down considerably. Another ‘test’ you might want to take is the Myers-Briggs Personality Type indicator, this will let you know what your preferences are in dealing with information, your surroundings and people. An abbreviated version is available free on the link below.

    The world’s your oyster!!
